This painting is one of the ones I was working on yesterday, I went back into it today and even though I wanted to keep going I couldn't change too much as this painting is sold and I needed to keep lots of what the client originally saw at the half way point. I have taken it to a spot where I can live with it.... but now that I see it online.... I may have to go back in it again just a few touches.... It's very hard to capture the true colours through the photograph  (It's like I am talking to myself in the post.... bear with me please!)  :/  I hope she still likes it when I deliver it! Thank you Helen, can't wait till you see it!

Trabajé en este cuadro ayer y hoy lo terminé. A pesar de que quería seguir, no podía cambiar demasiadas cosas ya que este cuadro ya está vendido y necesito mantener mucho de lo que la clienta originalmente vio. Lo he llevado a un punto que es satisfactorio… Pero ahora que lo veo en la computadora… Creo que tengo que volver y agregar unos toques… Es muy difícil capturar los colores correctos en la foto. (Es como me estoy hablando a mi misma en el post, disculpas) :/  Espero que todavía le guste a mi clienta cuando lo entregue! Gracias Helen, estoy ansiosa por que lo veas!

Today I wanted to share with you a trick I used when painting "Fall at the Lagoon", I realize now over a year ago!! I had prepared this post and was waiting for the artist I learnt this from, Julie Ford Oliver, to respond to my request to use her name and info when all hell broke loose in my life. I just saw that she actually responded to me the same day my son went in the hospital back in Nov 2014 so I never got to finish or publish it. (See here the post about it all) Today I was looking in my drafts and decided to finish it. Sidenote: My son's healing and recovery has been a miracle, he is leading the typical life of a 16 year old, with As and Bs in his report card....  other moms assure me the piles of clothes in his bedroom are NOT a sign of any kind of brain injury!..... Hard to remember everything we went through.... I am very thankful on a daily basis for the way things turned out. 

Anyway, Julie Ford Oliver is a wonderful artist from New Mexico whose work I follow on Facebook and through her blog. She is very generous with her teachings  and was very gracious to allow me to quote her. Take a look at her original blog post here where she uses a piece of glass to decide whether some  photo references would work as a painting. Thank you Julie, you are always an inspiration! My apologies for taking so long to publish this!

Hoy quiero mostrarles un truco que usé cuando pinté "Otoño en la Laguna" hace mas de un año!! Había preparado este post y estaba esperando permiso de la artista de la que lo aprendí, Julie Ford Oliver, cuando todo se puso patas para arriba en mi vida. Acabo de darme cuenta que ella me respondió el mismo día que mi hijo entró al hospital en Nov. 2014 por que nunca  terminé ni publiqué su post. Pueden ver acá todo lo que pasó. Hoy estaba viendo en mi carpeta de borradores y decidí terminarlo. Nota: La recuperación de mi hijo ha sido milagrosa, él por suerte lleva la vida de cualquier chico de 16 años con As y Bs en su libreta en la escuela.... otras mamás me aseguran que las pilas de ropa en su pieza  no tienen nada que ver con ningún tipo de daño cerebral!.... Es difícil recordar todo lo que pasamos.... Siento tanto agradecimiento a diario por como salió todo!

Julie Ford Oliver es una artista maravillosa de Nuevo Mexico. Yo sigo su trabajo por Facebook y por su blog. Ella es muy generosa con su talento y conocimiento y fue muy amable al permitirme que compatiera su técnica y nombre. Pueden ver acá su post original en el que ella explica como usa un pedazo de vidrio para decidir si ciertas fotos pueden ser buenos cuadros o no.  Gracias Julie, vos sos siempre una inspiración. Here is where I wanted to see what it would look like with a bigger water mass so I painted on a piece of glass on top of the painting. I should have added masking tape to the glass for safety... I hope you can see the glass.

Acá es donde quería ver cómo quedaría el cuadro si la masa de agua era mas grande. Pinté sobre el vidrio que estaba apoyado sobre el cuadro. De esa manera puedo ver si quiero hacer el cambio sin necesidad de cambiar el cuadro. Debería haber cubierto el borde con cinta de enmascarar por seguridad...  Espero que puedan ver el vidrio.

I started "The Secret Garden" during my art retreat back in August. While painting it I was able to tap into that magical moment, space, call it what you want, in which things are pouring straight out from the heart. What a joyful experience that was!! I wish I was able to express it better in words. The best part of all is that I can always go back to that moment, that special state and create from there. Magic happens! I confirmed during this retreat how much I LOVE flowers and gardens. They ALWAYS have the ability to make me stop, smell the flowers and smile. Hopefully you have something that makes your own heart sing! I will be creating a lot more work along these lines in the near future!! :)

Isn't it fun to see the painting in a room like that? I used an APP called IArtView. You are able to upload your image there and it's placed on the walls of these virtual rooms. You can set the size you want (this is the real size of the painting by the way, it's a big one!)  . They have only a couple of rooms in the free version but you can always pay for more variety.

Last Week I took this painting along with a few others to Olympic View Golf Course. Two good, very talented friends, Sharlene Stushnov-Lee , Deborah Czernecky and myself have an ongoing art display on the walls of the restaurant and lobby. We refreshed all the art last week and it looks great! Do stop by to see them, grab diner or lunch there as well, the food is excellent!

Comencé "El Jardín Secreto" este verano pasado en el retiro de arte que hice en Agosto. Mientras pintaba este cuadro pude conectarme con ese lugar, espacio, momento, llamémoslo lo que querramos, en el que las cosas salen directamente del corazón. Qué experiencia feliz!! Ojalá pudiera explicarlo mejor con palabras! Lo mejor de todo es que puedo conectarme de nuevo con ese momento y crear desde ese espacio. Magia! Confirmé  la pasión que siento por las flores y los  jardines. SIEMPRE tienen la habilidad de captivarme y hacerme sonreir. Espero que todos uds tengan también algo que les haga acelerar el corazón! Voy a  crear muchas mas cosas como estas en el futuro próximo!!  :)

No está buenísimo poder ver el cuadro en habitaciones como estas?? Usé una APP que se llama IArtView. Podés cargar tu imágen y  se muestran  tus cuadros en las paredes de estas habitaciones virtuales. Se puede cambiar el tamaño, este cuadro es de verdad de ese tamaño, es enorme! Tiene solamente dos habitaciones en la versión gratis, pero se puede pagar para tener mas variedad.

La semana pasada llevé "El Jardín Secreto" y otros cuadros a la Cancha de Golf  Olympic View.

Dos muy buenas y talentosas amigas, Sharlene Stushnov-Lee y Deborah Czernecky y yo montamos una muestra permanente ahí en el restaurant y lobby. Quedó muy bueno! Pasen a verlo si quieren y  aprovechen a almorzar o cenar  en el restaurant, la comida es muy buena!

Thankful finished

So here is "Thankful", the painting I did for Thanksgiving time. Even though it was not 100% finished back the, I wanted to post it because of the occasion. :)  I wanted to add a few more darks and lights and now it's ready. It's the other painting accepted into the FCA fall show happening at Goward House until November 26. Make sure you stop by, have a cup of tea and enjoy the beautiful artwork artwork in the show. I live very close to the Show so if you are planning to stop by, give me a call and we can visit and share that cup of tea ;) I have some greeting cards available as well.

Thanksgiving in Canada  happened almost a month ago and in the States is not happening for a few more weeks, we can anyway take this chance to count today AT LEAST 5 things we are thankful for!

Acá está "Agradecida", el cuadro que hice para la época de Acción de Gracias. A pesar de que no estaba terminado cuando lo puse en el blog había querido publicarlo de todas maneras en homenaje a la ocasión. Quería agregar claros y oscuros y ahora sí que está lista. Este uno de los dos cuadros aceptados en la Exhibición de Otoño de la Federación de Artistas Canadienses en Goward House hasta el 26 de Noviembre. Asegúrense de pasar a tomar una taza de té y disfrutar el hermoso arte en la muestra. Yo vivo muy cerquita de ahí así que si deciden pasar a ver la muestra, pueden avisarme y nos visitamos un rato con esa taza de té :)

El Día de Acción de Gracias ocurrió hace casi un mes aquí en Canadá  y ocurre en Estados Unidos en unas semans pero podemos de todas maneras contar por lo menos 5 cosas por las que estamos agradecidos! Hacer eso siempre es una buena práctica.

Afternoon Quiet - Spring Exhibition Federation of Canadian Artists

I am very excited to share with you that I have had one piece accepted into the Juried 2015 Spring Exhibition with the Federation of Canadian Artists, Victoria Chapter. It is really an honour and a privilege to be part of this show. It is always a bit stressful to wait for the news, one always hopes for the best but of course inner demons of doubt always play with me while I wait. It is reassuring for me as an artist to have my work included in juried shows as it is always somehow validating what I do. "Afternoon Quiet" was finished this past year and I have already shared it on my blog but hadn't been in any shows this past year, which was good since I haven't been able to really prepare for these submissions with the events of the last few months. The photo is not the best, very hard to photograph as it shows all the shine.
Please come to the opening if you are in the area, today, Saturday April 11, from 2 to 4 pm, meet the artists and enjoy local art. The show runs until April 19.

Estoy muy contenta de contarles que me aceptaron un cuadro en la Exhibición de Primavera de la Federación de Artistas Canadienses, Victoria. Es realmente un honor y un privilegio poder mostrar mi trabajo en esta muestra. Siempre es bantante estresante esperar el resultado, uno siempre espera lo mejor pero los demonios internos de dudas siempre juegan conmigo mientras tanto. Me da mucha satisfacción como artista cuando mi trabajo es aceptado en muestras juradas ya que revalida lo que que hago. Terminé "Tarde Tranquila" este año pasado y ya se los había mostrado en mi blog pero no lo había puesto en ninguna muestra, que vino bien ya que no he podido prepararme adecuadamente para estas muestras con los eventos de los último meses. La foto no es la mejor, es muy difícil fotografiar adecuadamente ya que muestra el brillo del varniz.
Por favor, si están en la zona, pasen por la Recepción con los Artistas, hoy Sábado 11 de Abril, de 2 a 4 pm, pueden conocer a los artistas y disfrutar de arte local. La muestra corre hasta el 19 de Abril.

Reflections (#86 of 100) and Happy Dance!!

I am very, very happy to announce that "the big monster" I have been working on got accepted into Sooke Fine Arts this year!! Yes!!! Big smile!! I am doing a happy dance!! Sooke Fine Arts is one the biggest juried shows on Vanvouver Island and it was one of my goals to submit to it this year. I only say "submit to" and not "get in" as a goal because you never know with juried art shows; I did my part, put the work in (and it took a few hours!) and I am very happy with the acceptance!

I had started this canvas a few years ago and due to lack of time had never finished it. It is the largest piece I have worked on (48x60) and I learnt a ton in the process. This canvas had a mind of its own from the get go, I wanted it to go in a certain direction and things wouldn't work, so after much frustration  several times  I said to myself: "Stop fighting it, this is the way this one will be".  It has a much more realistic look than I wanted it to have.

My new found love from this painting is Cadmium Orange. It gave me the "warm glow" I was after in some areas when mixed with Dioxazine Purples and different amounts of white and/or ultramarine blue.

The show runs July 25 to August 4 at Seaparc Leisure Centre in Sooke and unfortunately I won't be in town for it, (we are going to Italy!!!! Yes, I know, bummer eh?) Put it on your calendars and be sure to stop by if you can!

Estoy muy, muy contenta de poder anunciar que "el monstruo" en el que he estado trabajando duro ha sido aceptado en la muestra Sooke Fine Arts este año!! Si!!! Gran sonrisa acá!!  Bailecito de alegría!! Esta es una de las muestras juradas más grandes en la Isla de Vancouver y era una de mis metas presentar algo para ser considerado para la exhibición. Noten que sólo digo "presentar" y no "ser aceptada" como meta ya que uno nunca sabe con las muestras juradas; yo hice mi parte, trabajé mucho (y me llevó bastantes horas!) y estoy muy contenta con la aceptación!

Había comenzado este lienzo hace muchos años y por falta de tiempo nunca lo había terminado. Es la pieza más grande que he echo y aprendí muchísimo en el proceso. Este lienzo tomó sus propias decisiones desde el comienzo. Yo quería llevar las cosas en cierta dirección y no salían para nada así que después de mucha frustración algunos días me dije: "Dejá de luchar, este va a ser de este modo". Es mucho más realista de lo que yo quería. 

Un nuevo amor que encontré en este cuadro es el Naranja Cadmin. Me dió el "reflejo cálido" que buscaba cuando lo mezclaba con Morado Dioxazine y diferentes cantidades de blanco y/o Azul Ultramarino. 

La muestra es desde el 25 de julio hasta el 4 de agosto en el Centro de Recreation Seaparc en Sooke  y desafortunadamente no voy a estar en Victoria para esa fecha (Vamos a Italia!!! Si, ya sé, que lastima que vamos a Italia no? ) Marquen la fecha en sus calendarios y pasen a verla si pueden!

Today I am framing a few pieces  that need to be taken to the Alfrescoes Annual Show starting this next week at Coast Collective. We can enter anything that has been painted plein-air and I remembered this one which meets the requirements. Russell Island is very close to Vancouver Island, we discovered it on a day-sail a couple of years ago. This painting was produced one day on the boat while the family went for a walk. I like the fresh and crisp look and the colours this one has.

Hoy he estado enmarcando algunos cuadros para llevar mañana el Show Anual de los Alfrescoes en Coast Collective que empiea esta semana. Podemos llevar cualquier pieza que haya sido pintada en plein-air y me acordé de esta que llena los requisitos. La Isla Russell esta muy cerca de la Isla de Vancouver, la descubrimos un día que salimos en el velero por el dia. Yo me quedé en el velero pintando mientras la familia se fue a hacer una caminata. Me gustan la espontaneidad y los colores de este cuadro.

Well am I happy or what?? I submitted this piece to The Spring FCA-Victoria Show (Federation of Canadian Artists) and it got accepted! I was pretty pleased with the finished painting which I had started back in November. I hadn't had time to finish it and I did last week. When I went in yesterday to drop off the painting for adjudication I got really  nervous when I saw how much very good work there was in that room. I walked out going.... "Hmmmmm I am not sure it will make it!".  So I was really thrilled when it did! The show runs March 12 - 23 hosted at Coast Collective, open Wednesday through Sundays, noon to 5. Opening Reception with Artists in Attendance is Sat. March 15, 2 to 4 pm. See the invite below. Do stop by if you are in the area, say hi and enjoy the beautiful works of many talented local artists!

"Alberta Sun"  is from an image I took a couple of years ago when I visited Fort McMurray in Northern Alberta which is where my husband works. I was very fortunate that the weekend I was there the temperatures were reasonable, only about -12 which is a far cry from the -25, -30 and even colder  they get on a regular basis. We went for a walk behind where his house is, the sun was shining and it created very beautiful lights and shadows. I have some more images from that walk that I am hoping to paint from in the future.

Estoy tan contenta! Presenté un cuadro para la Muestra de Primavera del FCA-Victoria (Federación de Artistas Canadienses). Estaba bastante satisfecha con como había quedado el cuadro que había empezado en Noviembre pasado y que no había tenido tiempo de terminar hasta la semana pasada. Cuando fui a llevarlo ayer para la adjudicación me puse  bastante nerviosa cuando ví cuántos cuadros de muy buen nivel  había. Salí de ahí diciendo "Hmmm..... no sé si me lo van  aceptar!" Por eso es que estoy doblemente contenta!! La muestra es desde el 12 al 23 de Marzo en Coast Collective, abierto de Miércoles and Domingo de 12 a 5 pm. La invitación está arriba. Paren si están en la zona, saluden y disfruten del los trabajos hermosos de muchos artistas locales.

"Soles de Alberta"  es de una imagen que tomé hace un par de años cuando visité Fort McMurray en el Norte de la Prov. de Alberta que es donde mi esposo trabaja. Tuve mucha suerte que la semana que fui de visita las temperatures estuvieron bastante razonables a 12 bajo cero (en compración a los bajo 25 or 30 o mas que tienen normalmente en el invierno). Fuimos a caminar por atrás de la casa de mi esposo, el sol brillaba y creaba luces y sobres muy hermosas. Tengo mas imágenes de este viaje y seguro voy a pintar otras piezas en el futuro.

Well....  this one is an oldie but I still like it! It is a large painting I did a few years ago from a photo taken in one of our trips to Desolation Sound. Rebecca Spit is on one the most beautiful places on Quadra Island! Ive been there 3 times and every time I go, I can't help myself and take as many photos as the first time I was there. In this particular shot, we were anchored in the bay for a couple of very enjoyable days.
Painting time has not been great this week, holiday last Monday, a couple of meetings, errands  and the Olympics that seem to have trapped me. I admire these kid's dedication, tenacity and discipline so much, they are inspiring! Go Canada!
BUT it is not all idle time in front of the TV, I have taken the opportunity to be working on some of the marketing things on my list. Been fussing with the look of the blog, adding things I have seen on other blogs that I liked (Or in some cases trying to as these things are complicated sometimes!), playing with the colour scheme and all that kind of "fun" and necessary stuff. What do you think of the banner at the top of the blog?
I have also taken some work to be displayed at Coast Collective and this morning I took some pieces to Equinox Health Clinic, a massage therapy clinic on Fort Street. Hope Lysanne (wonderful therapist!)  and her clients enjoy my work there for the next couple of months. :)

I also made some dinner tonight, (well.... I do make dinner other nights too) but sort of explaining why I didn't get to paint today :(   Now going for a run! :)

Esta es una pintura vieja pero todavia me gusta! Es un cuadro bastante grande que pinté hace unos años de una foto sacada en uno de nuestros viajes a Desolation Sound. La Peninsula Rebecca es uno de los lugares mas hermosos en la Isla Quadra! He visitado ese lugar 3 veces y  cada vez que voy ahi, vuelvo a sacar la misma inmensa cantidad fotos que la vez anterior. En esta toma, estabamos anclados en la bahía durante un par de dias que disfrutamos mucho.
Esta semana no he pintado mucho lamentablemente. Fue feriado el lunes, tuve reuniones y cosas que hacer y las Olimpíadas que me han atrapado. Admiro tanto a la dedicacion, tenacidad y disciplina de estos atletas! Vamos Canada! Pero todo esto no signica que he estado sentada ociosamente  todo el tiempo en frente del televisor, he aprovechado esta oportunidad para  hacer algunas de las cosas en mi lista de marketing. He estado jugando con este blog, cambiando el banner de arriba (que les parece?), agregando cosas que veo en otros blogs que me gustan, eligiendo los colores a usar y todo ese tipo de cosas que hay que hacer.
Tambien llevé cuadros a Coast Collective y esta manana llevé cuadros a la Clinica Equinox, una clinica de masajes en el centro. Espero que Lysanne (excelente terapista)  y sus pacientes disfruten de mi arte. :)
También preparé la cena ( bueno..... hago la cena otras noches también) pero estoy tratando de  explicar por que no pude pintar hoy! :(   y ahora me voy a correr! :)

#3 of 30: Christmas Cactus III

Well here is offering number 3 and I do promise I will get caught up!  As I said yesterday I still had one cactus left in me.  All of the purples and pinks were what attracted me to them as well as the arches in the 2 previous ones and the vertical patterns that were created by the branches in this one one in particular. I also liked the Maidenhair Fern that grew out of the hole in the bottom of the pot! I have always loved that kind of fern (which I cannot grow very well here in Canada since it is an indoor plant here and the rooms are very dry for them)
I am not loving what I am creating this time so tomorrow I am going to dive back into the world of oils and I am very excited about that! Haven't decided yet if I am going to continue painting random things I choose daily or if I am going to box myself into something..... we will see :) I'd better go tidy up those oil paints and be ready for tomorrow!

Bueno, aquí está mi ofrecimiento número 3 y prometo que me voy a poner al día! Como dije ayer todavía me quedaba un cactus adentro! Los colores morados y rosados fue lo que mas me atrajo de estas plantas y la razón por las que las pinté además de los arcos que las ramas formaban en las dos anteriores y las líneas verticales que se crearon en esta. También me gustó el culandrillo que creció del hueco de abajo de la maceta. Siempre me ha encantado el culandrillo (y no lo puedo hacer crecer bien acá en Canadá ya que es planta de adentro y los ambientes son demasiado secos)
No estoy para nada contenta con lo que he estado creando así que mañana vuelvo al mundo de los óleos y estoy entusiasmada con eso! No he decidido todavía si voy a continuar pintando  cosas que elijo a diario de acuerdo a lo que tenga ganas de pintar ese día o si me voy a exigir un poco mas de estructura.... Veremos :)  Me voy a ordenar los óleos!!

Well, after what seemed like a life time of waiting in different lines and different airports we made it back to Canada where there is frost on the ground, fires going and loads and loads of things to put away!  I felt VERY disorganized to get started this morning with suitcases surrounding me, jet lag, laundry and a somewhat messy studio. I was also thinking hard on what to paint as I have lots of ideas and things I want to paint but I had wanted to limit the challenge to only some things. For example, I had thought I would only work from life as it is infinetely easier for me to paint from photographs than it is to paint from real life and this challenge is personally all about working on areas that are challenging/difficult for me. But I caved in and printed a photograph as I wanted to give the cactus another chance. I had rushed it on the first day and here it is. A different shot, a different plant actually as my parents have a few pots with them hanging on that window and I am somewhat pleased with it. Of course as soon as I post it here I see all the things that I need to change in it and I may still do that! 

I actually worked on a second one at the same time, yes, another cactus which is working and half way there. Hopefully will be able to finish that one tomorrow and do a second one to be able to get caught up!

Bueno, despues de esperar lo que pareció toda una vida en colas y distintos aeropuertos hemos regresado a Canada donde hay escarcha en el suelo, fuegos en los hogares y pilas y pilas de cosas por guardar! Me sentí por supuesto MUY desorganizada esta mañana rodeada de valijas, jet lag, ropa sucia y un taller un poco desordenado. También estaba deliberando qué pintar ya que tengo muchas ideas y cosas por pintar pero quería inicialmente limitar este desafío a ciertas cosas. Por ejemplo, había pensado que tal vez iba a pintar cosas que reales y no de fotos ya que es muchísimo más fácil patra mí pintar de fotos y en este desafío quiero concentrarme en cosas que me resultan mas dificiles o me dan trabajo. Pero finalmente me rendí hoy, imprimí una foto ya que me había quedado con ganas de pintar ese cactus de nuevo. Es una foto diferente, otra toma y es en realidad otra planta ya que mis padres tienen varias macetas colgadas en una ventana. Estoy mediamente conforme con como salió. Por supuesto, apenas la pongo acá en el blog veo todas las cosas que tengo que cambiar (y tal vez lo haga!)

Hoy trabajé en dos piezas al mismo tiempo, si, otro cactus que va bien y va por la mitad. Mañana voy a terminar ese and ojalá poder terminar una segunda para poder ponerme al día!

I have been in Argentina for the last 20 days and I had the best of intentions to paint but as I said before it has been way too hot (around 35 to 44 degrees Celcius). Today, however, temperatures have cooled down a bit and being the first day of the year I got up and painted this cactus my mom and dad have in a pot hanging form the wall in a patio. It is also the first painting of the 30 day challenge. I am under pressure as I will loose a couple of days in transit on our way back to Canada so wanted to at least have one under my belt. It is not a wow but it is a start!!! Have to pack tomorrow so I am not sure I'll be able to do number 2.... Actually I should have been packing this morning :) Happy New Year everyone! Off to the pool now, the way we spend New years day here in Argentina!!

Hace 20 días que estamos en Argentina y tenía las mejores intenciones de pintar pero como dije antes ha estado demasiado caluroso! (De 35 a 44 grados Celcius). Hoy, sin embargo, las temperaturas han bajado un poco y ya que es el primer día del año me levanté y pinté este cactus que mi mamá y papá tienen en una maceta colgada en un patio. Hoy es también el primer día del Desafío de 30 en 30. Estoy bajo presión ya que voy a perder un par de días en tránsito volviendo a Canadá y quería tener una aunque sea en la manga. No está espectacular pero es un comienzo!!! Mañana es día de armar valijas así que no se si voy a poder hacer la número 2.... Tendría que haber estado armando valijas hoy en realidad. :) Feliz Año Nuevo para Todos! Me voy a la pileta ahora, es así como pasamos el primer día del año en Argentina!!

#34: Entrance Island

I finished this one yesterday. I had started it last year when a group of us went on a painting trip to Gabriola Island. Worked on it a couple of times since then but never really finishing it. I am so glad it is now!! On that trip we spent 3 days there just painting and enjoying lots of art talk and company. Entrance Island is a name I had heard for years through the VHF on the boat. It is one of the marine stations that relays weather informacion. It  was also the firts sighting I had of land on a particularly bouncy and foggy crossing of the straight a few years ago coming back from Desolation Sound. (I am a fair weather sailor!) So it was a place that I enjoyed painting when I actually saw it more up close.

We need to organize another one of those plein air trips soon!!

Terminé esta ayer. La había empezado el año pasado cuando fui con un grupo de gente a la Isla Gabriola a pintar. Otro par de veces volví a agarrala pero no había logrado terminarla y estoy contenta de que ahora sí esté!! En ese viaje, durante 3 días, pintamos, hablamos de arte y disfrutamos mucho. La Isla de Entrada es un nombre que durante años había escuchado por la radio VHF en el velero ya que hay una estación metereologica que da anuncios del tiempo. También fue la primera vista de tierra que tuve después de una cruzada particularmente neblinosa y de mar picado hace unos años cuando volvíamos de un viaje. (Yo soy Marinera de buen tiempo, como se dice en inglés!)  Así que fue un lugar que disfrute mucho pintar desde tan cerca esta vez. 

Tenemos que organizar pronto otro viaje como este para  pintar!!
