There are lots of ruins scattered around the coastline in Mexico.... this one was an ancient temple right there at the beach in the resort, it called me the minute I saw it so I had to paint it before leaving!

This is the last form the Mexico trip, done on site. I am planning to do a few more in the studio from reference  photos I took.  We had so much fun (4 couples, no kids) so we had great company, beautiful scenery, great weather, fun excursions, wonderful service at the resort..... I would do it again, there are still lots of things I didn't get to see in that area! :)

Hay muchas ruinas diseminadas por la costa de Mexico... este era un antiguo templo en la playa del complejo en el que estabamos, me llamó la atención para pintarlo apenas lo vi así que tuve que hacerlo antes de volver!

Este es el último trabajo que hice en Mexico. Todavía tengo planeado hacer unos cuantos en el taller de fotos que tomé en el viaje. La pasamos tan bien! 4 parejas, sin chicos.... excelente compañía, hermosos paisajes, calorcito, excursiones interesantes y  muy buen servicio en el hotel.... lo haría de nuevo seguro, hay muchas cosas que no llegué a conocer en la zona! :)

While still in Mexico I did this other small painting, it was one of the many amazing views we had from the beach.... and one of the places where we could get lunch. Yes, I believe I came back with some "extra luggage" from that trip :), after all who doesn't when going to an all inclusive resort!!

Hice este otro cuadro cuando estaba todavía en Mexico, esta era una de las muchas vistas hermosas que teníamos desde la playa..... y unos de los lugares donde podíamos almorzar, y si, creo que volví con "exceso de equipaje" de ese viaje :), después de todo quién no cuando va a un all-inclusive!!

I was fortunate to spend a week in Mexico this past February, I took my paints, managed to do a few on site and this is one of them..... I was completely fascinated with the colour of the water..... If I had a penny for each time I said or thought "Wow! Look at that colour!!!" I would probably have enough money to go back to Mexico!!

Absolutely gorgeous colour, always changing according to how the sun is hitting it which of course added to the fun of attempting to paint it.  This is the beginning of a lot of turquoise coming out of my studio! :) Hope you enjoy it!

Tuve la suerte de pasar una semana en México este pasado febrero. Llevé mis pinturas y logré hacer algunos cuadros durante esa semana. Este es uno de ellos… Estuve todo el tiempo completamente fascinada con el color del agua… Si yo tuviera 1 centavo por cada vez que dije o pensé "Wow!! Qué color!!!" probablemente tendría suficiente plata como para volver a México!!

Un color tan hermoso, siempre cambiando de acuerdo a cómo está el sol, lo cual por supuesto agregó un poco de diversión al tratar de pintarlo. Este es el comienzo de mucho turquesa que sale de mi de mi taller.  Espero que les guste!
